this site
This site (the pages you're reading now) collects nothing. No analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party embeds. Fonts and Three.js are vendored locally in assets/vendor/ — nothing is fetched from a CDN, so nothing about your visit leaves this page. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
the veil app
veil, the desktop app itself, collects nothing. No telemetry, no crash reports, no usage data, no accounts, no server. Every check it runs is read-only and stays on your machine.
The only network calls the app makes are its own read-only egress checks — confirming your VPN tunnel is actually carrying traffic, against am.i.mullvad.net and the Cloudflare trace endpoint. No personal data is included in those requests, and no response is stored anywhere beyond the current session.
payment
If you purchase plus, you pay in monero or bitcoin directly to our own wallet — there is no card processor and no merchant of record in this flow, so no card data ever exists to collect. You email proof of payment, we email back a license key by hand, which you paste into the app; it's validated locally and then the app works fully offline. See the crypto checkout flow on the pricing page.
jurisdiction
Privacy, VPN, and encryption tools are restricted or illegal in some countries. veil cannot and does not claim to comply with every jurisdiction's laws — that would itself be a false claim. Using veil is your responsibility under your local law. See the terms for the full statement.
