legal

terms / end-user license agreement

Plain-language summary below. This is not legal advice — have a lawyer review the full EULA before selling.

license, not sale

veil is proprietary, closed-source software. A purchase of plus grants a personal, non-transferable license to use the paid features — it does not transfer ownership. No redistribution, resale, or reverse-engineering of the paid code.

provided "as is"

veil is provided without warranty. Security is best-effort: veil reduces exposure to mass surveillance and ISP visibility. It is not anonymity and not protection from a targeted adversary. To the maximum extent permitted by law, veil carries no liability for damages arising from its use.

your responsibility

You are solely responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction, including any that restrict privacy, VPN, or encryption tools. veil is not offered for unlawful use. It cannot and does not claim to comply with every country's laws.

payment

Purchases are paid directly in monero or bitcoin to our own wallet — there is no payment processor and no merchant of record. You email proof of payment and receive a license key by email in return, issued by hand. Crypto payments are not reversible; see the pricing page for the refund policy.
